BRITISH OFFICERS SHIRT
Not satisfied with starting with a custom-made fabric, Nigel Cabourn started by choosing and blending the cotton staple fibers that make up the yarn, and used an original weft thread from the spinning process to create the British Officers Shirt, a classic Nigel Cabourn shirt. This shirt takes about six months from start of production to finished product. In other words, two months to make the yarn, two months to make the fabric, and two months to finish the product. If you buy ready-made fabric from a fabric store and make it into a product, the fastest it will take is about two weeks.
However, we have never changed the manufacturing process since we first started making this classic shirt.
We put our heart and soul into what may seem like an ordinary Oxford shirt at first glance.
